I found out about Express Truck Tax through my membership with the National Association of Small Trucking Companies (NASTC). I used it last August for the first time and couldn't believe how easy it was.  My personal tax accountant provided this service for me my first year as an owner-operator for a pricey $50.  After that, I figured out how to do it myself for a few years.  But when I found out that Express Truck Tax was providing this service for less than $10, it was an easy decision to hand over this headache to tax professionals who handle this all the Tax.jpgtime.

Since I put my new Cascadia on the road in January, I had to file a new Form 2290 for the new truck.  This process was very easy on the Express Truck Tax website.  I had a few questions at first and used the online chat function to get my questions quickly answered.  I simply filed for a partial year - January 2018 to June 2018.  Near the end of the process, I was asked if I had sold any vehicles in order to refund any tax payments I paid last summer.  I entered my old truck VIN and received credit that I applied for the new Cascadia.  I didn't owe the IRS any money, which is always a good feeling.

I can't recommend Express Truck Tax enough.  For less than $10, they took a tax payment transaction that I was dreading off my hands and quickly handled it in no time.  This is what I call a good ROI or Return On Investment.  I'm always looking to spend money where I get a big return in regards to time and value.
