Here are a few of the ideas we have used in our trucks to make our lives easier:

Mirror

This mirror is used easily and stored in a small area.  I have been asked why I do not mount a mirror.  Well the truth of the matter is that my upper cabinets are to tall for me to see the mirror and I do not want to mount something in the closet.  This mirror I can adjust for my height and put it away.

Plug-Ins

This sleeper has USB plug -ins that really helps with cord clutter.  Now that we have them I cannot imagine life without this convenience.

Roll Out Shelf

This rollout can height shelf really doubled my space in this cabinet and I like that I can pull it out to see what I have.  Bob made a unique fastener to keep the shelf from moving while going down the road.  I used a rubber mat on the bottom to keep stuff from moving and use koozies to keep jars from rattling.

Air Freshener

With a little innovation we figured out how to mount the air freshener easily  this system has worked in three of our trucks.  I have it set on the lowest setting for sprays and usually get comments on how nice our truck smells.

This roll out platform works perfect to keep the floor from being scratched.   The cabinet is also a place to store our first aid kit as well as our passenger side fire extinguisher.  When we did not have a cabinet for the port a potty I made a skirt and cover for this necessity that kept it well disguised.

This rod helped to double the space for my cleaning products and is easily installed and easy to use.

My favorite!  Inside of a cabinet I have my wireless printer.  There is a plugin inside of the cabinet and all I have to do is turn the printer on and I can print easily.  I store my extra paper inside the copy area when going down the road so it will not fold over.  When we were in a OEM sleeper Bob built a cabinet that used the upper bunk to hang the printer/copier so that I could use it easily.  There have been many times when having a printer in the truck has saved us a load, allowed us to print paperwork needed so that we could leave a shipper quicker, and works to be able to scan and email paperwork into our company.

I have found that using stackable clear boxes also works very well to contain items.  This can work in cabinets and also under a bunk.   The clear makes it easy to see what is stored inside.  The smaller ones work really well to easily find what I am looking for.

There are a few of my ideas on how to use space inside the truck to the full extent I am able.  There are plenty more ideas that I use all of the time.  How do you maximize space?

Someday Jeff they will make a smaller printer/copier and I will be first in line to buy one. These are bulky but I like how it works. I know there are smaller ones that use thermal paper but I am not a fan of thermal paper.

You have an incredibly efficient sleeper. I really like the idea of the in can printer/copier.

Now Les that got me to laughing and thinking maybe I need a bigger sleeper... Really though I have always been able to get the most space out of any truck we have been in. Amazing once we think a little how we can improvise.

Great Ideas here Linda. Most generally when I need more space I buy a bigger sleeper. LOL. But with your ideas here I may save myself a ton of money!!! Thanks
