CDL Meal

Being a self-proclaimed “foodie”, trying out CDL Meals was a challenge I was happy to take on!

When most people conjure up visions of what food on the road is, usually the first thing that comes to mind is fast food.  As stereotypical as this may sound for most that live on the road, it also tends to ring more true than not! I know in my duty cycle of the extremely fast-paced world of local and regional hauling, taking the time to prepare myself something nutritious to eat is often quite a challenge. Then on the other hand, you have the word “nutritious”, that in itself makes you think of food that typically tastes like cardboard!

When I was asked to try CDL Meals, which was touted as being healthy, tasty and procured using natural and organic sourced ingredients, I was anxious to see if they lived up to the hype.  By far my favorite recipe was the salmon dinner meal. Having the ability to turn out this particular meal in just minutes, but also have it taste like it was prepared in a restaurant, was the game-changer in trucking food I didn’t think was possible!  The chef’s flavor in each different dish I tried showcases their true culinary talent, with complex taste profiles and aromas worthy of a meal that someone would have spent hours preparing.

CDL Meals is not only about taste, but also about being a healthier alternative to the fast-food chains that most of us turn to while on the road.  With reasonable pricing, comparable to what one would spend at an inflated truckstop fast food joint, and vegetarian meal options, a truly nutritious meal can now be had just by ordering CDL Meals ahead of time to take out on the road with you! Simply have them delivered when you know you’re going to have home time, then take them out in the truck with you on your next stint to have a much better alternative of flavorful and healthy eating in the truck. There is even the ability to pause your meal service whenever you want. Check them out at and try out some of their great choices.
