City Horn, Door Open
Hi,
8 out of 10 times..... when I open my door, with the truck on or off, the city horn will honk once, what am I forgetting to do?

Thanks,
Ken

Ken, you are not doing anything wrong. If the horn is only blowing once are your brakes set when you the door? Also, you should be able to get this reprogrammed that you will only get a quiet dash ding when you open the door.

Thank You for the reply, I have the tractor break set, most times I dont set the trailer brakes. Either way, the horn will honk, but not always. I will have to stop a dealership when I get a moment and have it programmed. Thank You for the info!

I had this problem as well WizBanger. Freightliner Dallas was able to trace it down to being tied into my parking break horn honk setting, even though brakes were set when it would happen. They were able to plug in and disable that setting for me easily eliminating it, so I hope you can run through and get it taken care of soon as well. I know how annoying it was getting out of my truck a "0'dark Thirty" to probably wake the driver next to me just to get out and do my pretrip.
