I want to take this opportunity to announce and welcome our newest members to the "Team Run Smart Pro's". Each driver will receive a Cascadia and will report on their experiences with the new truck.These owner operators will be participating in weekly blog postings and offering you their unique perspectives on the Cascadia as well as professional business practices. The new members are experienced and will offer business tips which have lead to their success in the transportation industry. Below, you can read a short teaser about each of the new team members.
Jeff Clark - the
marathon trucker! Jeff has completed 8 marathons and is currently training for his 9th marathon. He has been involved in the trucking industry for the past 25 years and has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Jeff pulls a dry van hauling paper products from Wisconsin to Georgia.
Joey Slaughter is the owner of Blue Ridge Transport, a Ringgold, VA based auto carrier that he started in 2010. He's worked in the trucking industry for over 20 years.
Jimmy Nevarez is the owner and president of Angus Transportation, Inc. based out of Yorba Linda, California and is currently a contract hauler for Knight Transportation, Inc. hauling general dry freight in their
Southern California short-haul division. Along with his eleven years in the trucking industry, three as an owner-operator, he is also a "Magna Cum Laude" university graduate with a bachelor's degree in business operations management.
Bob and Linda Caffee, Owner Operators for the past eight years, run team as expediters in a 40's straight truck. They are usually hauling specialized freight and can been seen driving in 48 states and Canada. Bob and Linda make the most of their extended time on road which often leads to months before returning to their home north of Saint Louis, MO. If you see them out on the road stop by for a visit in their home away from home in the Cascadia affectionally nicknamed the "Caffcadia".
