My Cascadia Evolution I, 6X2, Detroit DD-15 engine, DT-12 AMT transmission, Michelin wide based tires , combined with  NoseCone , Fleet Engineers side skirts , FlowBelow wheel covers and Stemco trailer tail equipped trailer achieving 10  MPG finnally got the attention of IFTA

Due to my above average and consistent fuel mileage numbers, I just knew it was bound to happen. Yes, you guessed it…the auditor called and we were scheduled for a company audit of our IFTA reports in December 2015. The appointment was made a couple of months in advance by an auditor who contacted our office in October 2015. We use an outside service who handles this for us and they come in quite handy as I don’t need to be physically present during the actual audit process. Paying for the service of an outside company has paid off many times over as I can keep working and therefore no downtime is required.

In order to assist with the audit process, I supplied DDEC Engine Reports and magazine articles which feature my truck and its fuel mileage accomplishments. I also received a few phone calls from the auditor on the day of the audit asking me various questions regarding my operation. The auditor was very surprised at my fuel mileage numbers and explained that she doesn’t see these types of numbers even when looking at straight trucks.

The audit covered nine quarters between 2013 and 2015. The end result was that I passed with flying colors! About a month after the audit was completed, I received a large envelop in the mail which contained a full summary of the entire audit. I have posted some pictures of the paperwork which I received for you to review. While looking over the numbers, I think it’s interesting to be able to see the progression of the technology which continues to improve my fuel mileage.

Thanks for the information Henry! It will help others that might get audited. Nothing like overwhelming the auditor with documentation!
