If you haven’t been to the Mid-America trucking show, then you are truly missing out!   Claiming to be the “largest annual heavy-duty trucking industry event in the world,” MATS holds its own when it comes to displaying all the newest in technology and its fair share of shiny stuff as well!  This year, starting today, all of your Team Run Smart Pros (me included) will be in attendance to check the pulse of the industry.  It is great that we get to come this year to share stories and help fellow drivers out there with any questions they may have.

It is inevitable that I will be wandering out to see the beautiful “Pride and Polish” trucks that are on display sometime in the next couple days, as I am a sucker for shiny show trucks like most!  Another must see during the event is the free concert courtesy of Mobil Delvac on Friday the 24th with Thompson Square headlining and a personal favorite of mine as the opener, Tony Justice!  This show will be a good starting point for those looking at coming into compliance with the impending ELD mandate talking hold in December as well.  I am sure that more than a few devices will be on display with plenty of people to answer questions about their units and how they work for the owner-operators out there.

No matter what you reason, be sure to try and get a load to hop out towards Louisville, Kentucky during these next three days to come see the newest innovations in the trucking industry.  Stop by booth 34360 and come see me and the other Team Run Smart Pros to chat and share some stories of the road.  You may even be able to take a peek at “The New Cascadia” that we have been so proud to be an integral part of from behind the scenes.  We’ll have the usual Freightliner Team Run Smart goodies to hand out for stopping by and you can always count on our “end of the day” raffles for great prizes at the end of each show day if you are present to win.  Be safe getting out to the Kentucky Expo Center and I hope to see you here!
