If you were anywhere near I-95 in Kenly, NC around May 7-9th, you couldn't miss this event.  Firstly, the Kenly 95 Petro is one of the biggest truckstops in the country.  It boasts over 250 parking spaces, 16 fuel lanes, 15 showers and 4 restaurants.  It also has one of the most extensive chrome shops that I've ever seen which was very convenient since there was a truck show during the event!  As I told the staff there, they need their own reality TV show with the variety of things that are happening there everyday.  I-95 is one of the busiest interstates in the country and it brings a lot of interesting characters through the front doors everyday.

The truck show portion of the Jamboree was a definitely a hit with all the attendees.  There were many categories judged and the competition was fierce, however a Freightliner won best in show!  Some of the truckers were new to competition and didn't  prepare enough, while others went all out and spared no expense in getting their rigs show ready and it paid off.

I manned a booth under the big tent for Team Run Smart and talked to hundreds of fellow drivers during the three day event.  I was able to sign up 65 new members to our Team Run Smart community. I even had the opportunity to meet the "The Embers" who are Carolina legends on the beach music scene.

The weather was beautiful for the entire event and a great time was had by all.  I've posted a few pictures below of some of the scenes of the Jamboree.  If you're traveling the busy I-95 corridor through the Carolinas, make sure you stop at the Kenly 95 Petro at exit 106; you won't regret it!
