Perfect Steaks not using a grill...

2 - thick steaks
2 - TBLS real butter (Kerry Gold)
1 - TBLS Avocado Oil or Olive Oil
salt & pepper to taste

Butter Mixture

4 TBLS real butter
Use the following to your taste
garlic powder
chopped fresh parsley
chopped fresh Thyme
lemon zest

Day before or day of mix 4 TBLS softened butter with the garlic powder, parsley, Thyme, and lemon zest and put in refrigerator.  If you cannot do it the day ahead I found it works well to do it as I am cooking the steaks!

Heat butter and avocado oil in skillet till very hot, while the steaks are heating salt and pepper both sides of the steaks.  Add the steaks to the hot oil carefully so as not to get splashed.  The hot oil will make a crust on the outside of steak as it is cooking.  When the steaks are half way done add some of the butter mixture to the top of the steaks flip the steaks and add butter mixture to the top of steaks leaving some of the butter mixture to put on steaks before they are served.  The secret to making these amazing steaks is the very hot butter and oil and not over cooking them.  The butter mixture can be just butter or add to the butter what you have on hand.  Cook the steaks till they are done to your taste.

It's amazing what you cook in your truck with so few cooking utensils. Great video!

I agree Stephen but a salad does go nice WITH the Steak! Cooking the steaks this fast keeps the juice inside and the flavor is fantastic.
