Freakonomics Radio
Based on the 2005 blockbuster book by University of Chicago economist Steven Levitt, Freakonomics Radio talks about how the laws of economics govern just about everything in life. Each episode discusses a new topic, like parenthood to the Ku Klux Klan. Episodes are about 30 minutes long.
The TED Radio Hour
Love TED Talks? Well, now you can listen to the podcasts. Host Guy Raz uses various TED Talks to tell stories about themes like love and organization. If you’re a fan of TED Talks then definitely give this podcast a listen. Episodes are an hour long.
First released in October 2014 as a spin-off to This American Life, Serial exploded with popularity and even won a Peabody Award. Serial tells one story over weekly episodes. Season one was all about the Adnan Syed case and season two is about the Bowe Bergdahl case. Episodes range from 30 to 70 minutes.

A veteran driver, host “Big Ken,” has over 6 years of trucking experience under his belt and shares his tips and stories with other drivers in these short episodes. He often talks about the latest trucking news and trends. Episodes range from 4 minutes to about 15 minutes.

Are you a film or history buff? You’ll love this. Host Karina Longworth examines the forgotten history of Hollywood in these well-researched episodes. Episodes are all under an hour long.
Comedy Bang Bang: The Podcast
Comedy Bang Bang is a podcast spin off of a weekly live show. Episodes have the same format but vary wildly based on the show’s guest.
