Spotlight on a Trucker-Friendly Hotel: Red Roof Inn.
Red Roof Inn’s tag line is, "Nice Place, Nice Price." From my experience, these are words they live by.  When on the road for hours and hours, it sure is nice to have an affordable place to stay!

  • Red Roof Inn is consistently rated among the leaders in guest satisfaction.
  • From TripAdvisor’s® online reviews, guests ranked Red Roof Inn’s rooms, service, cleanliness and its overall value, higher than its economy brand competitors.
  • Coffee is served in the lobby all day and the Inns that serve breakfast offer it for free (over 100 locations).
  • They have approximately 163 Red Roof Inns which offer truck parking.
  • The staff takes pride in being helpful to guests by giving directions, guidance, and suggestions on what to do that evening, or just a pleasant chat after being on the road for so long.
  • Red Roof Inns are also pet friendly, so if you are on the road with your best friend, they can sleep comfortably with you as well!  Kids under 17 stay free too.

Some of the amenities included at all Red Roof Inn hotels are: free Wi-Fi, free local calls, free long-distance calls in the continental U.S., and up to 10 fax pages in the continental U.S. Rooms have flatscreen TVs with free HBO®, HBO2®, ESPN®, ESPN2®, TNT®, USA®, Fox News®, CNN®, Cartoon Network®, Discovery Channel® and more. You know I love the site Dan. By the way, the Red Roof Inn in Hendersonville, NC is one of my favorite places to stop on the road. Great people running it!

I have to travel a lot for my business, mostly in Europe, but often in the states. I used to use sites like Travelocity but I quickly found the better way to find deals is to go to the second level – those sites like who compare the hundreds of different booking sites in one single search. So you not only see Trivago or Expedia deals but ALL of them in one place. I must have saved over 3,000 Euros since I started using them

Very nice article Dan!! My "Red Roof Inn" is a 26 foot Wilderness 4-season travel trailer that we pull behind the water tender. But then again, it doesn't come equipped with a pool, exercise room, cable tv or have breakfast ready when we get up in the morning.

I used the website for a Motel 6 in Dennison, TX. Every once in a while a motel is a nice treat.
