Henry Albert is the owner of Albert Transport, Inc., based in Statesville, NC. Before participating in the "Slice of Life" program, Albert drove a 2001 Freightliner Century Class S/T™, and will use his Cascadia for general freight and a dry van trailer. Albert, who has been a trucker since 1983, was recognized by Overdrive as its 2007 Trucker of the Year.

For years, so many athletes tried and failed to run a mile in less than 4 minutes that people began to say it was physically impossible. Prior to the 4 minute barrier being broken, the world record for a mile was 4 minutes and 1.3 seconds, set by Gunder Hagg of Sweden in 1945. So what does this have to do with trucking???

 This weekend, my wife and I had been out running errands and at lunchtime we decided to stop at a fast food chain for a burger. After placing our order, the young girl at the counter asked us if we wanted the “medium” or “large” size. There was no mention of a “small” or “mini” size portion.
