As much as "pumpkin spice everything" on the shelf is the new signal to ring in the Fall season, nothing quite says "the season of falling leaves" to me quite like a nice hot bowl of homemade chili!  

Here is a longtime recipe staple from my home "test" kitchen that can be set to slow cook throughout the day, so you too can have a nice pot of chili waiting for you at the end of a long day of driving.  

Be sure to bring a container to store the leftovers cold and reheat for multiple days of chili, as this recipe reheats easily and seems to unbelievably taste even better on the second day!
