We will walk approximately 1.5 miles as a group leaving room B-103 and heading outside to walk around the convention center weather permitting we will walk inside if inclement weather.   Drivers will receive a duffel bag while supplies last. The Trucking Solutions Group Driver Health Council first started sponsoring the walk in 2010 and each year the walk has grown in attendance.  The walk was started as a way to show how easy it is to walk a mile and a half or about one-half hour for a personal health.

The original group was formed in 2008 and has evolved into what is now known as The Trucking Solutions Group.  The parent organization consists of owner operators discussing better ways to do their businesses.   These weekly calls often consist of guest speakers who are engineers, government officials, tire manufactures, and we have been used as focus groups.

In 2009 The Trucking Solutions Group Driver Health Council was formed to promote driver health.  This group consists of drivers and owner operators interested in health and getting healthier.  The Driver Health Council has been instrumental in started the health walks as well as blood drives that are held during truck shows.

Linda Caffee

Bob and Linda started their driver careers after their children left home for college in 2000. Bob started as a driver for a large motor carrier with Linda as a rider. They decided to enter the Expedite industry as team drivers in 2005 and purchased their first Freightliner. Both, Bob and Linda have had their Class A licenses since the early 80's starting out driving in the oil field and hauling grain as fill in drivers where Bob worked as a diesel mechanic. Linda worked at the local country courthouse in data processing.

The thing that I have enjoyed most about these walks is meeting people. Everyone that I have met on these walks has been truly interested in making the industry better.
