This is the month of the year when the flowers are blooming in many of the medians, we watch the trees as they have a faint tinge of green and then in the next week have baby leaves.   How can we not smile during April?

April is a great time to open the windows and do a spring-cleaning!  Clean out the corners in the cabinets and get rid of stuff I thought I needed a year ago that I have never used.  It is also time to go through our clothing and while keeping some warmer clothes in the truck I add more short sleeve and summer clothing.  Another bonus of summer is that our clothing does not take up so much room.  Here are some storage ideas for the truck Storage Ideas

Our heavy coats are still kept in the truck but put away in the cabinets and our lighter coats are left out.  This year I added a pair of "Sloggers" so I can walk through standing water without getting my feet wet.  To say I get joy out of these shoes is an understatement.   While I will say it has been years since I have jumped into a mud puddle I have not lost my joy at walking through a nice puddle of water.

Bob also enjoys this time of year and getting the outside of the Caffcadia back to its normal sparkling polish.  Spring is when the days are cool enough that it is a joy to be outside enjoying the cool breeze and watching the signs of winter fade away.

One of the pleasures of April is finding a quiet place to spend the night and leave the windows open.  Then as morning approaches having the sound of birds chirping the first thing you hear as we awaken from a peaceful nights sleep.   The ultimate is to hear a rooster crowing that a new day has arrived.

Here is to a Spring Cleaned truck and saying good-by to winter. Look around you on your commute, in your yard, or where you are parked to see the first signs of spring!
