All the above figures in this article make complete sense to me. The last figures I've reviewed were compiled by the ATA and based upon numbers derived from the US DOT. These figures showed the small fleet 20 and under category as being 97.3% off all trucks on the road. With this said, this category would also get the most inspections.Therefore, I don't feel as though I'm being picked on by CSA. The above survey should have included 1 more selection which would be 0 roadside inspections as I've not had any for the last 36 months.

It stands to reason why owner/ops are inspected more, O/O don't have the resources fleets have. Fleets have greater liability exposure than O/O. It's extremely difficult to be independent in todays market place.
